Per il secondo anno consecutivo Kaizen Karate-Dō Rieti ha partecipato alla Fiera Mondiale del Peperoncino, portando il Karate nel cuore della città con un allenamento aperto in Piazza Mazzini. Un'occasione per incontrare il pubblico, ritrovare vecchi amici e avvicinare tanti bambini e ragazzi alla nostra disciplina.
Dopo l'esperienza dello scorso anno, Kaizen Karate-Dō Rieti ha preso parte alla 15ª Fiera Mondiale del Peperoncino, uno degli appuntamenti più attesi e partecipati della città.
Rispetto alla precedente edizione, questa volta eravamo ancora di più. Il nostro gruppo continua a crescere e vederlo riunito sul tatami nel cuore di Rieti, circondato dal pubblico della manifestazione, ha rappresentato una grande soddisfazione.
Grazie alla collaborazione con ASI Rieti, i nostri atleti hanno avuto l'opportunità di esibirsi sul tatami blu allestito in Piazza Mazzini, a pochi passi dall'area concerti, davanti ai numerosi visitatori che si sono fermati per assistere, conoscere più da vicino il Karate e chiedere informazioni sulle nostre attività.
I nostri giovani karateka hanno mostrato alcune delle tecniche fondamentali della disciplina, attraverso esercizi di attacco, difesa e tecniche di calcio, per poi mettersi alla prova anche in esercitazioni e simulazioni di kumite.
Un modo per condividere con il pubblico non soltanto l'aspetto tecnico del gesto del Karate, ma soprattutto il lavoro, l'impegno e i progressi che i ragazzi costruiscono giorno dopo giorno attraverso la pratica in palestra.
Abbiamo avuto il piacere di ritrovare tanti amici che negli anni hanno condiviso il proprio percorso nel Karate insieme a Marco e Ilaria e che, passando per la Fiera, hanno voluto fermarsi per un saluto e tornare a respirare, anche solo per qualche momento, l'atmosfera del dōjō.
Una sorpresa particolarmente gradita è arrivata anche dai più piccoli: alcuni dei bambini e ragazzi conosciuti durante le attività organizzate nei centri estivi della città nel corso dell'estate sono infatti venuti a trovarci e hanno voluto salire nuovamente sul tatami per provare e allenarsi insieme a noi.
Un piccolo gesto che racchiude perfettamente uno degli obiettivi delle iniziative che Kaizen Karate-Dō porta avanti al di fuori delle normali lezioni: far uscire il Karate dalla palestra, farlo conoscere e creare occasioni di incontro e nuovi legami attraverso lo sport.
Proprio la Fiera Mondiale del Peperoncino ha rappresentato anche la tappa conclusiva del nostro Kaizen Summer Camp, il progetto che durante l'estate ci ha portato a incontrare bambini e ragazzi in diverse realtà del territorio.
L'ultimo appuntamento ha visto protagonisti i bambini e i ragazzi di Tata Mary, accompagnati alla scoperta del Karate attraverso attività, esercizi e momenti di pratica pensati per avvicinarsi alla nostra disciplina in maniera divertente.
La partecipazione alla 15ª Fiera Mondiale del Peperoncino ha assunto per noi anche un significato particolare: quello di un ideale passaggio tra le tante attività che ci hanno accompagnato durante l'estate e l'inizio della nuova stagione sportiva.

🇬🇧 For the second consecutive year, Kaizen Karate-Dō Rieti took part in the World Chili Pepper Fair, bringing Karate into the heart of the city with an open training session in Piazza Mazzini. An opportunity to meet the public, reconnect with old friends and introduce many children and young people to our discipline.
Following last year’s experience, Kaizen Karate-Dō Rieti once again took part in the 15th World Chili Pepper Fair, one of the city’s most eagerly awaited and popular events.
Compared with the previous edition, this year there were even more of us. Our group continues to grow, and seeing everyone together on the tatami in the heart of Rieti, surrounded by the crowds attending the event, was a great source of satisfaction.
Thanks to our collaboration with ASI Rieti, our athletes had the opportunity to perform on the tatami set up in Piazza Mazzini, just a few steps from the concert area, in front of the many visitors who stopped to watch, learn more about Karate and ask about our activities.
Our young karateka demonstrated some of the fundamental techniques of the discipline through attacking and defensive exercises and kicking techniques, before putting themselves to the test in kumite drills and simulations.
It was an opportunity to share with the public not only the technical aspects of Karate, but above all the hard work, commitment and progress that our students build day after day through regular practice in the dōjō.
We were also delighted to meet many old friends who, over the years, have shared their Karate journey with Marco and Ilaria and who, while visiting the Fair, stopped by to say hello and experience once again, even if only for a few moments, the atmosphere of the dōjō.
A particularly welcome surprise came from some of our youngest visitors: several children and teenagers whom we had met during activities at local summer camps came to see us and were eager to step onto the tatami once again to practise and train with us.
This small but meaningful gesture perfectly reflects one of the main goals of the initiatives that Kaizen Karate-Dō carries out beyond its regular classes: taking Karate outside the dōjō, making it accessible to more people and creating new opportunities to meet, connect and build relationships through sport.
The World Chili Pepper Fair also marked the final stage of our Kaizen Summer Camp, the project that took us to different organisations and summer activities across the local area, giving us the opportunity to introduce children and young people to Karate throughout the summer.
The final event involved the children and teenagers of Tata Mary, who were introduced to Karate through activities, exercises and practical sessions designed to help them discover our discipline in an enjoyable and engaging way.
Our participation in the 15th World Chili Pepper Fair also held a special meaning for us, representing an ideal transition between the many activities that accompanied us throughout the summer and the beginning of the new sporting season.
