Si apre una nuova fase per il Karate italiano. Una data destinata a segnare un passaggio importante nella storia della nostra arte marziale.
Il 6 agosto 2026 FIJLKAM e FIKTA Hiroshi Shirai Karate-Do A.S.D. hanno sottoscritto uno storico accordo che avvia il percorso di riunificazione del karate italiano, riportando la tradizione del Karate-Do Shotokan del Maestro Hiroshi Shirai all’interno della federazione italiana riconosciuta dal CONI.
L’intesa salvaguarda l’identità tecnica, culturale e didattica della scuola del Maestro Shirai: FIKTA continuerà infatti a operare mantenendo la propria struttura e la propria specificità all’interno del nuovo contesto federale.
Tra i punti principali dell’accordo figurano il riconoscimento dei gradi dan e delle qualifiche FIKTA, la tutela della propria attività tecnica e agonistica e l’istituzione della Commissione Nazionale Hiroshi Shirai Karate-Do Cultura e Tradizione all’interno del Settore Karate FIJLKAM.
KAIZEN KARATE-DŌ RIETI ENTRA DUNQUE A TUTTI GLI EFFETTI IN FIJLKAM.
In virtù dello storico accordo, Kaizen Karate-Dō Rieti confluirà in FIJLKAM: l'iter partirà dal 1 Settembre 2026, mentre l’affiliazione alla Federazione Italiana Judo Lotta Karate e Arti Marziali si perfezionerà a partire dal 1 Ottobre 2026.
Da quel momento tutti gli atleti di Kaizen Karate-Dō Rieti saranno ufficialmente atleti FIJLKAM, mantenendo al tempo stesso intatto il legame con il circuito e con la famiglia FIKTA Hiroshi Shirai A.S.D., che continuerà a rappresentare il nostro riferimento per tutto ciò che riguarda didattica, pratica, formazione e attività agonistica.
Un passaggio epocale che non interrompe il percorso intrapreso, ma lo inserisce in una dimensione nuova e più ampia: la tradizione e gli insegnamenti del Maestro Hiroshi Shirai continueranno a essere la nostra bussola, oggi all’interno della federazione ufficiale riconosciuta dal CONI.
Per Kaizen Karate-Dō questo nuova percorso non rappresenta un cambio di direzione. La strada intrapresa continuerà dritta, senza esitazioni, guidata dalla stessa stella polare che ci accompagna fin dall’inizio: praticare karate con sincerità, rispetto per la disciplina e correttezza, nella tecnica e nella sostanza.
Nulla cambierà nel nostro modo di vivere quotidianamente il dōjō, nell’insegnamento e nella pratica in palestra. Cambieranno, invece, le opportunità che avremo davanti con nuove possibilità di crescita, che accoglieremo con entusiasmo e per le quali sapremo farci trovare pronti.
Stesse radici, stessi valori, una nuova prospettiva. La nostra strada continua.

On 6 August 2026, FIJLKAM and FIKTA Hiroshi Shirai Karate-Do A.S.D. signed a historic agreement that sets in motion the reunification process of Italian Karate, bringing the Shotokan Karate-Do tradition of Master Hiroshi Shirai within the Italian Federation officially recognised by CONI.The agreement safeguards the technical, cultural and educational identity of Master Shirai’s school. FIKTA will continue to operate while preserving its own structure and distinctive identity within the new federal framework.Among the key points of the agreement are the recognition of FIKTA Dan grades and qualifications, the protection and continuity of its technical and competitive activities, and the establishment of the Hiroshi Shirai Karate-Do Culture and Tradition National Commission within the FIJLKAM Karate Sector.
KAIZEN KARATE-DŌ RIETI OFFICIALLY JOINS FIJLKAM
As a result of this historic agreement, Kaizen Karate-Dō Rieti will become part of FIJLKAM: the process will begin on 1 September 2026, while affiliation with the Italian Judo Wrestling Karate and Martial Arts Federation will be formally completed on 1 October 2026.From that moment, all Kaizen Karate-Dō Rieti members will officially become FIJLKAM athletes, while maintaining their strong connection with the FIKTA Hiroshi Shirai A.S.D. circuit and family, which will continue to be our point of reference for teaching, practice, training and competitive activities.This is a historic transition that does not interrupt the path we have chosen, but places it within a new and broader dimension. The tradition and teachings of Master Hiroshi Shirai will continue to be our compass, now within the official Federation recognised by CONI.
For Kaizen Karate-Dō, this new path does not represent a change of direction. We will continue moving forward without hesitation, guided by the same North Star that has been with us from the very beginning: to practise Karate with sincerity, respect for the discipline, and integrity, both in technique and in substance.Nothing will change in the way we experience the dōjō every day, in our teaching or in our regular training. What will change are the opportunities ahead of us, with new possibilities for growth that we will embrace with enthusiasm and for which we will be ready.
